(ARLINGTON, VA) On Tuesday evening’s Arlington County Board meeting, we learned more details about the sale and exciting future of the Barcroft Apartment complex from county officials, the buyer and developer Jair Lynch, and financing partner Amazon.

Preserving affordable housing on the Pike is critical to preserving the diversity of the Pike community. We appreciate the commitment that is being made to address short-term and long-term affordability, resident protections, and ensuring safe and quality housing into the future. We appreciate that the Columbia Pike Neighborhoods Area Plan  is being used to help create the vision and the plan.

Diversity and Inclusiveness are core values of the Columbia Pike Partnership. We want to continue to keep our neighbors in our neighborhood, so the Pike can continue to be a place of “Living Diversity”.

We look forward to partnering with and working with the community, the County, and all the engaged parties as we celebrate the opportunity to get started on this opportunity and the work to come.
