The tree sale will be held as long as supplies last!

The South Arlington Lions Club will once again host its annual Christmas Tree Sale on Columbia Pike. This year, the group is setting up shop on a lot that has most recently served as the site for monthly food truck parties. And they hope to stay there for a while!

Café Sazon, located at 4704 Columbia Pike, is offering a 10% discount at their restaurant when customers provide coupons obtained with the purchase of a tree. Coupons expire December 31.

The home for the Christmas Tree sale was for many years the parking lot of the old Food Star grocery store. That site is now under development by Orr Partners, which will open its ‘Centro’ project there in 2019. CPRO worked with the Lions Club to help move the Christmas Tree Sale sale to this new Pike location.

“All our customers to date have said the new location is great, and hope we find a home here for a long time”, said Emily Carnes, a member of the Arlington Lions Club. She noted that the new location makes the sale much more visible.

Benefits from the sale of the Christmas trees provide resources for sight preservation, disaster relief, Arlington Free Clinic, Arlington Food Assistance Center and Arlington Youth activities. The Club also provides Christmas trees to low-income families to spread the joy of the holiday season.
