A SWIRL of Local Art at Twisted Vines

The Pike’s first Wine Bar and Bistro embarks on a new and very promising project this February under the name of SWIRL. In partnership with ArtDC (an organization that very recently brought Suddenspace to the Pike) Twisted Vines [map] will be featuring original artwork from  local artists. Each artist’s works will be featured for approximately one month. Twisted Vines patrons will have the opportunity to personally meet the featured artist and discuss the exhibits at an opening reception at the start of each show and at a brunch on one weekend during the show. Twisted Vines owners Sibyl and Josh Robinson explained that their “intent is to foster a sense of community among local artists, and to increase the awareness of art being created in the DC area.”

The kick-off event will be this weekend, on February 5th, featuring the work of Jackie Hoysted.
