Let’s talk Housing on Jan. 24

A public dialogue on Affordable Housing Tools.

As part of the Columbia Pike Land Use and Housing Study, you are invited to participate in a public discussion that will explore affordable housing policies. A panel of specialists will offer insights and convey policy experience from cities across the Nation:

Keynote Speaker:
Shelley Poticha Senior Advisor for Sustainable Housing & Communities,
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD
Panel Moderator:
John McIlwain Senior Resident Fellow, Urban Land Institute
Panelists:
Adrienne Quinn Vice President, Enterprise Community Partners, Washington DC
Ms. Quinn will share her experiences in Seattle where she directed an array of
comprehensive strategies to preserve and create affordable and mixed-income housing.
Paul Freitag Director of Development, Jonathan Rose Companies, New York
Mr. Freitag will share elements of his extensive experience with mixed-income
projects and green development.
Aaron Miripol Executive Director, Urban Land Conservancy, Denver, Colorado
Mr. Miripol will discuss possible new funding sources for affordable housing.
AJ Jackson Partner, Eakin-Yougentob Associates, Inc. (EYA), Bethesda Maryland
Mr. Jackson will discuss the ways in which EYA has provided affordable homeownership
options in the DC metropolitan region.
Victor Dover: Principal-in-charge, Dover, Kohl & Partners, Coral Gables, Florida
Mr. Dover will share ideas on creating affordable housing through design choices
